The exhibition, The South Bronx: Voices of the Game, is a youth-led storytelling exhibition developed and produced by The Sports Creative in partnership with community organizations across the South Bronx. The exhibit showcases stories created by young people from community-based soccer organizations through photography, written reflections, video storytelling, and portraits, exploring the connection between soccer, identity, and community. Visitors will experience the personal journeys of young storytellers and how the game has shaped their lives on and off the field.

The exhibition celebrates U.S. Soccer’s Soccer Forward Communities initiative, which supports community-driven efforts to expand access to soccer and strengthen local ecosystems through the game. As one of the inaugural Soccer Forward Communities, the South Bronx serves as a powerful example of how soccer can create opportunities for belonging, leadership, and personal growth.

Through a series of workshops facilitated by The Sports Creative, participants developed storytelling skills in writing, photography, videography, and public speaking before creating the pieces featured in the exhibition.
