One of New York City’s Largest Public Rooftop Parks

Pier 57 features a nearly 2-acre rooftop park with stunning panoramic views of Lower Manhattan and New York Harbor. It’s the perfect place to have a picnic, gather with friends, or enjoy an unforgettable sunset. Access the park from the ground floor’s southern entrance, directly across from Little Island.

The Pier 57 rooftop park delivers on one of the original commitments made to the public as part of its redevelopment. The pier’s award-winning restoration required special care to maintain its unique historic character, including on the rooftop. Opened in Spring 2022, the rooftop park joins the long list of public green spaces within Hudson River Park.

Directions to the Rooftop Park

When you arrive at Pier 57, head to the south gate near City Winery. Walk along the pathway toward the park’s main entrance, directly across from Little Island. Once inside, take the stairs or elevator to the roof.
