Space: Daffodil Classroom

AnnieMorris

How can sculpture take up space both inside and outside our bodies? Children will learn about the use of volume in the sculptural works of Annie Morris, Donald Judd, and Shaikha Al Mazrou. They’ll develop technique and vocabulary for repetition and consider how these artworks fill space vertically, horizontally, or even conceptually. Using clay, artists will sculpt items they love and “stack” them in unique and perplexing ways.
