Our eyes are trained to see things right in front of us. But what if we look in between those objects and patterns? Artists such as Coles Phillips and Yau Hoong Tang use the idea of negative space differently – one omits and one adds. After looking at the work of these artists, children will create their own representations of the “in between” of negative space.
