Wood Hood: Film Screening + Community Conversation

  • May 22, 2024
  • 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Space: Seahorse Classroom

Summer is almost here which means we’ll all be spending more time outside, however access to green space in and outside of the city varies greatly. Camping to Connect is one of the many amazing organizations striving to connect young New Yorkers with the great outdoors.
Join us for a screening of “Wood Hood” an award winning film and learn how Camping to Connect, a BIPOC-led experiential mentorship program, uses outdoor recreation and nature immersion to address the diverse issues faced by young men of color in America’s cities— from mental health to healthy masculinity.

After the film we’ll be joined by other outdoor advocates sharing their perspective on the importance of access to the outdoors.

We hope to see you there! Please RSVP here.
